Bhubaneswar: Two Odia women athletes have been included in the Indian national team for the Asian Athletic Championship, which will be held in China from June 3.
Odia sprinter Srabani Nanda and Heptathlon athlete Purnima Hembram have found a place in the team which will represent India in the championship.
While Srabani will represent India in the 100-metre and 200-meter sprint events, Purnima will represent the country in the Heptathlon event of the championship.
Both the Odia athletes bagged gold medals in their respective disciplines in the recently-concluded Federation Cup Athletics Championship at Mangalore.
