Wellington: Sri Lanka fast bowler Suranga Lakmal was fined 30 percent of his match fee by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for showing "no remorse" after he bowled two beam balls in their win over England in a World Cup Pool B match here on Sunday.

Lakmal was removed from the Sri Lanka attack by umpire Rod Tucker in the 50th over of England's innings after the right-armer bowled a second consecutive high full-pitched ball to batsman Jos Buttler.
