Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has jeoparadised his career with Manchester United with his explosive comments on the club’s owners, as well as the manner in which the club is being run.
However, Former England cricket team skipper Kevin Pietersen is standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the CR7 amid the criticism he is facing from the football fraternity.
As per Pietersen, only a person who has been in the Portuguese’s shoes can understand why he had to come out and said such things. The former English batter said that he has been in the same shoes as Ronaldo.
“I’ve watched this CR story and having been in a similar position, I sympathise with him. People have NO IDEA what it’s like to have constant lies and speculation written about them all the time. People having breaking points. Very easy to blame him but before you do, think...,” KP tweeted.
Notably, Ronaldo has made quite a few objectionable comments by saying that he ‘doesn’t respect the manager Erik Ten Hag’. He also hit out on former teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville for their criticism of him. A number of Manchester United fans and journalists have also hit out at Christiano for spoiling the club’s image in public.
Ronaldo’s explosive interview with Morgan, has been the talk of the sporting world. In the interview, the Portugal legend claims he has felt ‘betrayed’ by some figures at the club. He also expressed his disappointment with what he believes to be a lack of improvement in facilities since he first departed the Red Devils in 2009.
