New Delhi: The Indian sports ministry has spent Rs 9,41,16,932 from the National Sports Development Fund, since its inception in 1998, on training of sportspersons, for infrastructure development and for organising various competitions.

The sum includes the amount of money spent on the training of 30 sportspersons last year, including India`s lone individual Olympic gold medalist shooter Abhinav Bindra, on whom Rs 13,12,355 was spend by the sports ministry.
