Dubai: Jonny Bairstow (97) and David Warner (52) on Thursday and their opening stand of 160 runs helped SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) score 201 at a loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs against Kings XI Punjab at the Dubai International Stadium. However, KXIP failed to chase the victory target of 202 runs and lost all of its wickets within 16.5 overs by scoring 132 runs and lost the match by 69 runs.

Jonny Bairstow got adjudged as the Man of the Match for his outstanding innings of 97 off 55 deliveries.

Kings XI Punjab's Nicholas Pooran slammed his maiden IPL fifty while chasing a 202-run target against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He came to his team’s rescue after Abhishek Sharma dismissed KL Rahul (11) in the 7th over.

Kahleel Ahmed cleared Prabhsimran Singh (11) while Mayank Agarwal (9) got run-out.

Natarajan took the two final wickets and KXIP was all out for 132 runs.

Rashid Khan came out as the highest wicket-taker after Jonny Bairstow top scored with 97 and David Warner (52) slammed the second half-century in this season. The mammoth opening stand of SRH was broken in the 16th over by Ravi Bishnoi after which KXIP did well to restrain SRH down to a score just over 200. Bairstow was denied his second IPL hundred by Bishnoi in the same over.

KXIP took six wickets and conceded 41 runs in the last four overs. While wickets fell around him, Kane Williamson stood strong and was unbeaten on 20 off 10 balls. The only noteworthy stand outside of the opening partnership was between Williamson and Abhishek Sharma who put up 24 for the sixth wicket.
