Abu Dhabi: Delhi Capitals (DC) won the toss and elected to field against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 55th match of 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Monday. RCB scored 152 runs at a loss of 7 wickets in the 'do or die' match.

Josh Philippe and Devdutt Padikkal were the opening batsman for RCB.

The duo had a good start. But, Kagiso Rabada dismissed Philippe in the 5th over. Philippe could score only 12 runs off 16 balls.

However, RCB skipper Virat Kohli came into the scene after the fall of first wicket. With a steady partnership, Kohli and Philippe took the total score of RCB to 60 by the halfway of the match.

Ravichandran Ashwin gave a big jolt to RCB dismissing Kohli in the 13th over. Kohli scored 29 runs off 23 balls.

Meanwhile, Padikkal scored his 4th IPL half-century. He scored 50 runs off 40 deliveries. But, he departed in the 16th over. Anrich Nortje got the big wicket.

Next, it was Chris Morris who departed scoring no runs. Nortje again struck back RCB in the same over.

Rabada again bounced back dismissing Shivam Dube in the last ball of 19th over. Dube could score 17 runs off 10 balls.

AB de Villiers scored 35 runs off 20 balls and departed in the last over. Nortje got another wicket in the same over dismissing Isuru Udana (4).

RCB could score 152 runs at a loss of 7 wickets posting a victory target of 153 runs for DC.

The game is important for both teams as the team winning it will qualify for the playoffs and also finish among the top two to get two shots to qualify for the final.

Both teams have effected a few changes. RCB brought in Shivam Dube for Gurkeerat Mann and Shahbaz Ahmed for Navdeep Saini. Delhi Capitals made three changes, picking Ajinjya Rahane, Axar Patel, and Daniel Sams replacing Shimron Hetmyer, Praveen Dubey, and Harshal Patel.
