Vila-real (Spain): Villarreal forward Adrian Lopez has said that he was "satisfied" with the "outstanding" performance of his side this football season.
Villarreal are currently in fourth place in La Liga standings with one match left, but the Spanish team has been eliminated from the Europa League semi-finals, reports Efe.
If Villarreal finish fourth in La Liga, they could appear in the next edition of the UEFA Champions League.
Lopez on Tuesday thought that Villarreal's success was not expected this season, indicating that the qualification for the Champions League preliminary stage will be the best achievement for his side.
He pointed out that Villarreal reached the Europa League semi-finals, but was eliminated by a "tough opponent", Liverpool.
Lopez added that he is proud of his team and its achievements.
