Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday (May 18) inaugurated the revamped, renovated periphery of the famous Shakti Peetha of Maa Tara Tarini, the presiding deity of Ganjam district.
The Shakti Peetha has been renovated into a glorious temple which represents the Odia heritage and is deeply connected with Odia sentiments.
The Pratistha Mahotsav of Maa Tara Tarini's new temple in Ganjam kicked off last week, and during the week-long celebrations various rituals were performed in the holy shrine.
The periphery of the Shakti Peetha has received a complete makeover.
