In a major development, two prominent BJD leaders have been arrested by Boudh police in connection with a ganja trafficking case, raising concerns across local political circles.

The arrested individuals include Bipin Pradhan, husband of a former Zilla Parishad candidate from Kantamal, and Pramod Rana, husband of the Rengali Sarpanch. Both are reportedly close aides of former BJD MLA Mahidhar Rana.
Police sources said the duo was apprehended following extensive investigations into the illegal movement and sale of ganja in Boudh district.
Investigators are continuing to question the accused as well as other individuals allegedly connected to the network in order to trace the full extent of the trafficking operation.
