Suspended Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Shreemayee Mishra has once again launched a pointed attack on the party on social media, indirectly criticising both the organisation and its present leadership.
In her latest post, Mishra used satirical Odia verse to allege that an unnamed figure is influencing the party’s decisions while loyal workers are being used to corner others. The BJD has not issued a response to her remarks.
In her post, Mishra described the current internal strategy as a ‘Tamil game’ and wrote that an unnamed ‘babu’ makes others speak and act on his behalf. She suggested that the move to launch new political events is being accompanied by a search for ‘trusted agents’.
The lines further accuse a ‘domesticated boss’ of threatening others, while seniors, she wrote, are tolerating humiliation. Her post concluded by claiming that those who once projected themselves as admirers of Biju Patnaik have now become ‘fake followers’.
Questions Party’s Commitment To Biju Patnaik’s Ideals
Mishra’s criticism is the latest in a series of attacks over the past weeks. Last Wednesday, she questioned why leaders who built their political identity around Biju Patnaik’s values are now silent when the party is facing challenges.
She asked why leaders of a party formed in Biju Patnaik’s name should compromise their principles, questioning, “What new fear has gripped you now?”

Trains Guns At V K Pandian
In her latest post, Shremayee Mishra made a sharp attack, claiming that “a domesticated man is threatening everyone, and elders are silently suffering with bowed heads.” The words are seemingly targeted at V K Pandian and come amid the recent resignation from a party post by veteran BJD leader Debashish Samantaray, who wrote to Naveen Patnaik of feeling ‘humiliated’.
Despite continuous public remarks from Mishra and increasing online debate over her posts, the Biju Janata Dal has not issued any official statement addressing the allegations or the concerns she has raised. The party has also not indicated whether it plans to initiate a response or any other action.
