Sex racket busted in Khordha; seven detained

In a major crackdown, police on Thursday busted a sex racket operating in the Bikash Nagar area under Adarsh police station in Khordha district on Thursday.

According to sources, the illegal activities had reportedly been going on for a long time in a rented house in the locality. Acting on credible information received from reliable sources and some local residents, a special police squad conducted a surprise raid at the premises.

During the operation, the police detained seven individuals, including three women and four men. All of them have been taken to the police station for further interrogation.

Some Incriminating materials were also seized from the house. The detained persons are being interrogated to ascertain whether more individuals are involved and to determine the extent of the network. 

As per police sources, an investigation is underway to ascertain the extent of the racket, identify the main accused involved in running the operation, and determine whether any larger network is linked to the case. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
