Plus Two girl student attacked with blade in Puri, hospitalised

A Plus Two student was injured after being attacked with a blade by unidentified miscreants while she was on her way to college in Odisha’s Puri district on Friday morning. The incident occurred at Muguria under Gop police station limits.

According to reports, the student was travelling to appear for an examination when the attack took place. The sudden assault left her seriously injured, preventing her from taking the examination.

Student Injured In Sudden Attack

Police said the unidentified assailants attacked the student with a blade and fled the spot immediately after the incident. The victim sustained injuries to her neck, waist and chest during the assault.

The injured student was later found in an unconscious state. Her family members rushed her to Gop hospital, where she was admitted for treatment.

Student Unable To Appear For Examination

The incident occurred when the student was on her way to appear for an examination. Due to the injuries sustained in the attack, she could not take the examination.

Family members and local residents assisted in shifting her to the hospital soon after the incident.

Police Launch Investigation

The exact reason behind the attack remains unclear. Police from Gop police station reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.

An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances under which the attack took place and to identify the persons involved in the assault, police sources said.
