OTV’s ‘Ama Sahi Medha’ inspires festive spirit during Kali Puja in Jajpur

The festive spirit is high in Jajpur’s Vyasanagar as Kali Puja celebrations have begun across the town. Pandals are adorned with vibrant decorations, grand arches, and colourful lights, attracting devotees and visitors alike. This year, 18 pandals in the city are hosting worship of Goddess Kali, drawing large crowds to witness the festivities.

For the first time in 2025, Odisha’s leading media organisation, OTV, has launched the ‘Ama Sahi Medha’ program in Vyasanagar, aimed at evaluating and honouring creativity in pandal decorations. The program has generated considerable excitement among local committees and devotees.

OTV jury members are conducting evening visits to each pandal, carefully inspecting decorations, arrangements, and overall presentation.

In the initial rounds, jury members have visited several prominent pandals, including Nahaka Chhak, Gopabandhu Nagar, Bank Street, Aryan Club, Chorada Chowk, Kahneipura, Thana Chowk, and Chandama. Today, the inspections are scheduled for pandals at Dala Chhaka, Steel City, New Market, Benar Railway, and Kopanda Chhak.

The committees that excel in creativity and overall presentation will be recognised and awarded, adding further enthusiasm to the celebrations. Devotees and organisers are participating with immense devotion, making this year’s Kali Puja in Vyasanagar a grand and memorable affair.

The event not only highlights religious fervour but also showcases community participation and artistic excellence in the city.
