OTV announces winners of ‘Ama Sahi Medha’ 2025 for Kali Puja pandals in Bhadrak

The results of the much-awaited ‘Ama Sahi Medha’ 2025 competition, organised by OTV for Kali Puja pandals, have been officially announced for Bhadrak city on Saturday. The competition, which celebrates creativity, decoration, and devotion during the festive season, saw enthusiastic participation from several local committees.

Here’s the list of all the winners:

In the Creative Theme category, the winner is Bishanikharidar Basanti Durga Puja Mandap, recognized for its unique and innovative presentation. The Charampa School Road Puja Committee won the Best Decoration award, showcasing meticulous arrangements and aesthetic appeal.

Meanwhile, the Charampa Dagarasahi Puja Committee received the Best Baruali Award for its excellence in ritual performance.

The P.W.I. Puja Committee, Railway was awarded Best Idol and Medha, highlighting the artistry and craftsmanship of their Durga idol and pandal setup. Additionally, the Arei Public Puja Committee secured the Best Toran (Gate) Award, impressing the jury with its grand entrance and festive appeal.

This year, OTV expanded the ‘Ama Sahi Medha’ 2025 competition to cover three of Odisha’s renowned Kali Puja cities – Bhadrak, Jajpur Town, and Jajpur Road – aiming to encourage community participation and creativity. Among these, the winners from Bhadrak city have been announced first, generating excitement among local devotees and committee members.

The competition not only celebrates the religious fervour of Kali Puja but also recognizes the dedication, talent, and hard work of the participating communities. The awards are expected to inspire more innovative and vibrant celebrations in the coming years.
