In a glittering lineup of winners, Kakat Mangala Club stood out by winning the Best Medha Award for its beautifully crafted silver tableau, which captivated both judges and devotees.
The Best Gate Design Award went to Sadbhabana Club, located near Law College Road, while Ganga Bhagirathi Puja Committee of Madhiapal took home the Best Lighting Award for their spectacular illumination.
The Best Idol Award was clinched by Gop Laxmi Puja Committee, while the Best Committee Award went to Thanapati Puja Committee at Old Bus Stand, Kendrapara. Tini Muhani Laxmi Puja Committee impressed with their special Manabasa Mandapitha bhoga, earning them the Best Bhog Award.
Nua Bus Stand Puja Committee, Thanapati, was awarded the Best Decoration Award.
Three committees—Chatara Patana Annapurna Club, Garapur Laxmi Puja Committee, and Baniamal Laxmi Puja Committee—received the special jury awards for their unique contributions.
For the first time, the competition was held in Kendrapara with an expert panel of five judges—Rajkishore Sahu, Bansidhar Mohanty, Binayak Prasad Pradhan, Adyasha Priyadarshini, and Girijakanta Das—who visited 68 mandaps across the city to evaluate the entries.
The competition has added a new dimension to this year’s Gajalaxmi Puja festivities in Kendrapara district, blending devotion with creativity and community spirit. OTV’s initiative received overwhelming participation and appreciation from devotees and local residents alike.
After receiving tremendous appreciation during the Durga Puja celebrations, where Puja Committees from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar participated, OTV extended the Ama Sahi Medha competition to the Gajalaxmi Puja in Dhenkanal and Kendrapara.
The initiative aimed to celebrate local community participation and recognise excellence in idol design, decoration, lighting, and thematic presentation.
