For years, candidates have been dedicating significant effort and resources toward preparing for the Odisha Civil Services Examination. The exclusion of these key posts has created a sense of disappointment and frustration among them.

Many aspirants have attributed this to a lack of coordination between departments and inconsistent policy decisions, which they say undermines the expectations of dedicated candidates across the state.

As per sources, the situation has once again highlighted the growing concerns over transparency, planning, and equitable opportunities in state-level recruitment, leaving aspirants feeling disheartened and uncertain about their future prospects.

"Last time there was only 199 OPSC posts and this time aspirants were very much hopeful for vast vacancies. However, there have been no posts for OAS, OFS and ORS. We feel it as a cheating by the government," said an aspirant.

"OAS notification has been issued without OAS posts. OAS, OFS and ORS posts are not there in the notification. Probably, it has happened for the first time in Odisha history. We don't know why the government is doing these kinds of things with us. We are working very hard day and night. However, the government is cheating us every time," rued another candidate.
