OPSC Civil Services 2023 result: ‘My fight for UPSC will continue,’ says 2nd rank holder, Ananya Mishra

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Friday announced the final results of the Odisha Civil Services Examination-2023. A total of 398 candidates, including 144 women, have been recommended for appointment to various posts and services under the Odisha Civil Services (Group A & B).

The results are based on the Main (Written) Examination held between April 19 and May 15, 2025, followed by the Personality Test conducted from September 6 to September 18, 2025.

Priyanshu Pal has emerged as the topper, claiming the first position with outstanding performance. Close behind, Ananya Mishra secured second rank, showcasing remarkable excellence.

Speaking exclusively to OTV, second topper Ananya Mishra said, “It is shocking for me that I’m the only girl in the top 10 list. I’m very happy. It is yet to sink in.”

“I have been simultaneously preparing for OAS along with my UPSC preparations. I’m happy that I have secured the second rank. I had earlier cleared the OJS exam as I’m a law graduate. This was my second attempt. My fight will continue for UPSC IAS,” she added.

“There are several laws against corruption, but it still continues. So, there should be a change in mindset. The focus should be on work ethics. The system should be transparent. Most of the things happen in secrecy, which leads to a rise in bribes. So, I will focus on transparency with the use of modern technology,” Ananya said while speaking on IAS and other Civil Servants caught by Vigilance while taking a bribe.
