The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Friday announced the final results of the Odisha Civil Services Examination-2023 under Advertisement No. 20 of 2023-24. According to the notification, a total of 398 candidates, including 144 women, have been recommended for appointment to various posts and services under the Odisha Civil Services (Group A & B).
The results are based on the Main (Written) Examination held between April 19 and May 15, 2025, followed by the Personality Test conducted from September 6 to September 18, 2025.
Priyanshu Pal has emerged as the topper, claiming the first position with outstanding performance. Close behind, Ananya Mishra secured the second rank, showcasing remarkable excellence, with Sovan Pattanaik as the third topper in the competitive exam.

Speaking to OTV, Sovan Pattanaik said, “I’m elated. My family is also on cloud nine. This was my fourth attempt, and I finally secured it.”
“Consistency is the key to my success. If one can give at least 6-7 hours every day, then it is enough for this exam. Many fail because they are not consistent. So, my message to other candidates would be to be consistent,” he added.
On his contribution to society after becoming an OAS officer, Sovan said, “I have a lot of plans to do. But, whatever I do, I will do it with full integrity.”
“The salary that the government provides is more than enough for my family’s needs. There is no price for one’s image and reputation. So, that will be my motto,” Sovan stated while speaking on corruption and bribes being taken by civil servants.
