It also urged the government to take steps under the Advocates’ Protection Act to ensure better protection for members of the legal community.

Formal resolutions on these demands have been sent to the Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Justice, Law Minister, Advocate General, and the Chairman of the Bar Council of India.

Meanwhile, investigation reports have revealed chilling details about the killing. The post-mortem confirmed that Pitabas Panda was shot with a 9mm pistol at point-blank range.
