Bhubaneswar: A total of 91 persons recovered from COVID-19 in Odisha on Wednesday, taking the total number of recovery cases to 1416 in the State.

As per Health and Family Welfare Department, 22 persons recovered from COVID-19 in Deogarh, 16 from Puri, 15 from Nayagarh, 9 from Bolangir, 5 each from Angul & Balasore, 3 each from Bhadrak & Sundargarh, 2 each from Cuttack, Ganjam, Khurda, Kalahandi & Bargarh and 1 each from Dhenkanal, Gajapati & Jajpur districts.

The State today reported 143 more Covid-19 cases, taking the State’s tally to 2388. The 143 new positive cases include 132 from quarantine centres while 11 are local cases.

Ganjam reported the highest 41 COVID-19 positive cases while 24 cases detected in Balasore, 17 in Sonepur and 13 in Bolangir district.

Besides, Rayagada district today reported its maiden COVID-19 positive case and with this, Coronavirus has now spread its tentacles to all districts of Odisha.


Of the total positives, 1416 people have already recovered and the State has now 1054 active cases, informed the Health department.
