Bhubaneswar: Covid-19 infection has now spread its tentacles to all districts of Odisha with Rayagada district today reporting its maiden positive case. The virus infected person is a Delhi returnee and in quarantine.

Today the State reported 143 new Covid-19 cases, taking the State’s tally to 2388. The 143 new positive cases include 132 from quarantine centres while 11 are local cases.

With this, the active cases in the State now stand at 1054 with 1325 recoveries and seven deaths.

Ganjam reported the highest 41 COVID-19 positive cases followed by Balasore, 24 cases while as many as 17 and 13 new cases were detected in Sonepur and Bolangir districts respectively.

On the other hand, at least 80 more COVID-19 patients recuperated on Tuesday- 17 persons from Puri, 16 from Kendrapara, 16 from Malkangiri, 7 from Cuttack, 3 each from Nayagarh, Sonepur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Jharsuguda, 2 each from Ganjam, Kandhamal and Khurda and 1 each from Bolangir, Jagatsinghpur and Nabarangpur districts.
