Man dies during black magic ritual in Odisha’s Kendrapara!

In a shocking and tragic incident, a person lost his life after being buried in the ground as part of an alleged black magic ritual at Palakana village under Nikirai police station in Kendrapara district on Tuesday.

According to reports, a ritual related to black magic was being performed at the house of Chandrabhanu Maharana in a bid to solve some family issues. As part of the ritual, a pit around 10 feet deep was dug in the ground, inside which the ritual was underway to find a piece of bone.

During the course of the ritual, Chandrabhanu's younger brother Jagabandhu reportedly became critically ill while inside the pit as it caved in. He was later recovered by the villagers and rushed to the nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead. The tragic incident has triggered panic in the area.

Following the incident, one person involved in the ritual managed to flee from the spot, while two black magic practitioners have been detained by the villagers.

The incident has sent shockwaves across the region, once again highlighting the dangers of blind faith and superstitious practices.
