KISS student murder: 7 KIMS doctor picked up by Infocity Police

In a major development in the KISS student murder case, police on Wednesday evening reportedly picked up seven doctors of KIMS medical college and hospital for questioning. As per reports, the doctors were taken by the Infocity Police, Bhubaneswar to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

The doctors are being questioned over serious lapses in procedure. The local police were not informed when the injured student was brought for treatment. Shockingly, the body of the student was handed over to his family members without conducting a mandatory post-mortem examination.

Making the matter worse, KISS authorities allegedly handed over the body to the family, claiming that the student had died of a heart attack, while he had injuries on his neck. Police said the institute did not inform the local police about the incident, raising serious questions about negligence and an attempt to suppress facts.

The doctors are suspected of being involved in the cover-up and releasing the body without a post-mortem. They are currently being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation. 

Further action will be taken based on the outcome of the interrogation.
