A 10-day-long mystery surrounds the disappearance of Aru Prasad Sahu, a youth from Singiri Dahi Sahi village under Aul police limits in Kendrapara district, who went missing after setting out for work on October 5.

Aru Prasad, son of Ananta Sahu, had left home in the afternoon, saying he was heading to Sambalpur for employment. He reportedly boarded a bus from Singiri Chhak and reached Cuttack, where he contacted his family from the OMP Square, informing them he would take a train to Sambalpur.
That was the last time anyone heard from him.
After days of failed attempts to trace him, and no further contact, his family finally lodged a missing persons complaint at Aul Police Station. His phone has been unreachable since the last call, and there’s been no update on his whereabouts from any station or contact point.
The family is in deep distress, urging authorities and the public to help in tracing their son. Police have begun an investigation, but no leads have surfaced so far.
“His (Aru’s) mobile phone was ‘switched off’ at times and ‘switched on’ again till the last Monday, after he went missing. From around 1.30 PM on Tuesday, his phone has not been ringing at all,” Aru’s paternal aunt, Sabitri Sahu, said.
“I asked the police to inform me if any harm has been caused to him. I have requested the cops to trace out my child, and for that I came again today,” the woman stated.
