Odisha continues to reel under an intense cold wave, with Mohana in Gajapati district witnessing a sharp fall in temperature. Dense fog has been lingering until around 8 am, causing minor disruptions to road traffic. Several interior pockets of Gajapati are also experiencing severe winter conditions, with visibility remaining low during the early morning hours.

As the cold intensifies, residents are seen gathering at tea stalls in large numbers. People have also been warming themselves around roadside bonfires across various localities. According to reports, the fog persisted beyond 7 am, drawing more people to tea shops for hot beverages.

Residents Share Experience

A resident said, "Winter arrived later than expected, but has already become intense, people are coping with warmer clothes and hot drinks such as tea."

Another resident noted, "The fog continues from night until around 10 am, making mornings particularly challenging."
