While rain continues across Odisha, a touch of winter has now reached some areas. In the Mohana region of Gajapati district, a mild chill was felt early on Friday morning. As the area is hilly, fog was also seen on the roads and pathways as the temperature began to drop. This marks the first experience of winter in the region this year.

With rainfall likely to decrease in the coming days, the cold is expected to intensify further. Due to dense fog, transportation problems were reported along the national highway passing through the region. 

As per reports, several areas experienced light cold accompanied by patches of fog, reducing visibility for commuters in the early hours.

Locals Enjoy the Changing Weather

A local resident said, “We felt the chill and saw fog across the area this morning. The reduced visibility caused some traffic disruption, but people have begun enjoying the weather, gathering around tea stalls to chat and warm up.”

Travellers Drive Cautiously Amid Fog

A traveller shared, “The fog is quite intense, so we stopped at a tea stall to wait it out. Drivers are moving their vehicles slowly to avoid any accidents.”

As temperatures continue to dip gradually, residents of Gajapati and nearby hilly regions are beginning to experience the early signs of winter, with foggy mornings adding both charm and caution to the season’s onset.
