Humane Sagar's death case: Mother Shefali Suna files FIR against his wife Shriya, seeks fair probe

Demanding a fair probe into her son’s death, late singer Humane Sagar’s mother Shefali Sagar also included his wife Shriya in her complaint. The heartbroken mother has demanded a transparent investigation into her son’s death, with Shriya being named in the police complaint.

Shefali stated that she is not blaming anyone at this stage and wants the truth to come out through a proper investigation. She said named Arpita Choudhury in her complaint and alleged her frequent visits also affected her son deeply and pushed him into depression.

‘Let the Investigation Decide’

Clarifying her stand, Shefali said her daughter-in-law’s name has been included in the FIR and will remain so irrespective of the outcome. “If she is guilty, it will be established; if she is innocent, that too will be proven,” she said, adding that she trusts the investigation process.

However, she warned that if the probe does not proceed in the right direction, she would approach the Odisha Chief Minister for justice.

Arpita Choudhary’s name has also been mentioned, as she used to visit Humane.

“My son struggled with depression because of her. That is why I have included her name. My daughter-in-law, Shriya Mishra’s name has also been linked in the FIR, whether she has done anything wrong or not will be determined by the investigation. She called me today and asked why I had filed an FIR against her, and I told her that I had done so to ensure a proper inquiry involving everyone, without any partiality. She agreed and said that I had done the right thing,” alleged Shefali.

Earlier Complaints Add to Pressure

The case has already drawn attention, with several local organisations filing complaints against Humane Sagar’s managers, demanding a detailed probe. Earlier, filmmaker Jitu Raut had also lodged a complaint at the Madhupatna Police Station, seeking a high-level investigation into the singer’s financial dealings and professional management.

The FIR alleged that Humane Sagar’s earnings may have been siphoned off and that those managing his career ignored his worsening condition.

As multiple complaints converge, the focus now shifts to the police investigation. Humane Sagar’s mother continues to seek justice, hoping the truth behind her son’s death will finally come to light.
