Headmaster accused of making ‘obscene gestures’ at girl students
Balasore: Tension ran high at Nijagada Upper Primary High School under Nilgiri in Balasore district after locals gheraoed the headmaster of the school today for allegedly making objectionable gestures at three girl students.
The headmaster, Bhaskar Chandra Panda allegedly used to show obscene videos in his mobile phone to the girl students of Class IV and V and make objectionable gestures at them. The three minor also alleged that Panda used to touch them inappropriately.
The matter came to light after the girl students reported such issues to their parents after which locals staged demonstration and gheraoed the headmaster in school today.
It was only after the other officials of the school intervened, the situation was brought under control.
“The headmaster used to call them when the girls were alone and touch them inappropriately. Stern action should be taken against the teacher,” said mother of one of the three girls.
However, no police complaint was lodged in connection with the incident till last reports came in.
Meanwhile, the Block Development Officer informed that appropriate action will be taken after a detailed investigation.
On the other hand, Panda refuted such allegations and termed it as conspiracy against him.
