A group clash broke out on Friday in Chintamaniswar Talasahi under Laxmisagar police limits in Bhubaneswar, leaving two youths severely injured. According to police sources, around 15 miscreants allegedly launched a sudden attack using sharp weapons on the two local youths.

The injured youths sustained serious injuries in the assault and were immediately shifted to Capital Hospital for treatment. Their condition is said to be critical. Preliminary information suggests that the clash may have occurred due to previous enmity between the two groups.
Police suspect that a dispute related to the New Year's feast escalated into violence, leading to the group attack. Following the incident, Laxmisagar police rushed to the spot and launched an intensive investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those involved in the attack.
Security has been tightened in the area to prevent further escalation, while police continue questioning locals to ascertain the exact sequence of events.
The injured youths were identified as Badal and Rudra from Lane 11, Chintamaniswar. The clash between the two groups is believed to have been triggered by a dispute over the New Year's feast.
During the assault, the attackers struck the victims on their heads and also targeted their hands and legs. The accused involved in the attack have been named as Gopi Rout, Shitu, Raja, and Bula, all of whom hail from the same locality.
No comments could be obtained from the local police in this regard.
