"My aunt called me at around 9:00 PM yesterday and urgently asked us to come to her house, stating that some hooligans were creating a disturbance in an inebriated condition. I reached my aunt’s house along with my mother at approximately 9:30 PM. Upon arrival, we found three to four people, along with my sister-in-law, Aishwarya Ray, hurling abusive language and creating chaos. When I tried to intervene and stop them, Aishwarya Ray assaulted me with a stick. Her uncle then chased me with a sharp-edged weapon, threatening to kill me. Subsequently, my mother attempted to intervene to prevent further violence. However, she was also assaulted by them. In a fit of rage, Aishwarya Ray pushed my mother, causing her chest to strike against a stone. As a result, my mother lost consciousness. We immediately took her to the medical facility, where the doctors declared her brought dead," said the deceased's son Bibhu Prasad Swain.
