Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda joins Gajalakshmi Puja celebrations
Amidst the spiritual fervour of the Gajalakshmi Puja celebrations, BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Jay Panda on Thursday visited several pandals across Kendrapara district to offer prayers and seek the divine blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, the harbinger of prosperity and good fortune.
The senior BJP leader began his visit at Duhuria, where he paid obeisance to the deity and interacted with local devotees and organisers. He then proceeded to several prominent pandals, including those at Sadbhavna Club near Law College Square, Tinimuhani, Mahipal, Baniamal, Kakat, and the Old Motor Stand area, extending his greetings to the people celebrating the auspicious festival.
Concluding his spiritual journey at the New Bus Stand, Panda offered flowers and prayers to Maa Gajalakshmi, seeking her blessings for peace, progress, and prosperity in Kendrapara and across Odisha.
He was accompanied by Kendrapara BJP District President Shashank Shekhar Sethi, along with leaders Kishore Panda, Geetanjali Sethi, and Duryodhana Sahoo, who also joined in the prayers and festivities.
Local organisers, overwhelmed by the MP’s presence, expressed gratitude for his continued support and for fulfilling their appeal for government assistance to make the celebrations grand and inclusive.

Panda conveyed his heartfelt wishes to all devotees, saying that Gajalakshmi Puja reflects the timeless faith and cultural richness of Kendrapara, and prayed for the Goddess’s blessings on every household for happiness and prosperity.
Baijayant Panda clears way for ambulance stuck in Puja crowd
Displaying a remarkable act of humanity, BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda personally helped clear the way for an ambulance stuck in heavy Puja crowd in Kendrapara.
As devotees thronged the streets for the festive celebrations, an ambulance got trapped amid the congestion. On noticing the situation, Panda immediately intervened and guided the crowd to make way, ensuring the emergency vehicle could pass through safely.
His quick action drew appreciation from onlookers and locals, who praised the MP for his calm and compassionate response during the festive rush.
