In a humanitarian gesture, BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda intervened to ensure that the mortal remains of Parameshwar Nayak, an Odia youth who passed away in Ghana, were brought back to his native village in Kendrapara district.
According to reports, Parameshwar Nayak, son of Payodhara Nayak of Badataila village under Rajkanika police limits, was employed with a private company in Ghana. The company authorities informed his family that he had died of a heart attack. Following the tragic news, Parameshwar’s wife sought assistance from MP Jay Panda to help repatriate the body for the last rites in Odisha.

Responding to the appeal, Panda immediately wrote to the Indian Ambassador in Ghana, requesting prompt arrangements to bring the mortal remains to India and to facilitate the release of pending dues owed to the deceased. Acting swiftly, the embassy ensured that the body was flown back to India.
The mortal remains reached Badataila village today, where a pall of grief gripped the entire community. On behalf of Jay Panda’s office, BJP leader Krushna Chandra Panda visited the village, paid his last respects, and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
Baijayant Panda expressed his gratitude to the Indian Embassy in Ghana for their timely intervention and support, acknowledging their efforts in bringing comfort to the grieving family.
