The sudden weather shift came after brief rainfall on Monday, which reportedly triggered a further drop in temperatures across the town. Locals said the combination of dense fog and severe cold made morning movement difficult. Visibility on major roads dropped to less than 10 metres, forcing commuters and pedestrians to proceed with caution.

Our hands and feet are completely frozen.” Several others echoed similar concerns, noting challenges in carrying out routine activities due to the sharp temperature dip.
