Allegations of corruption have surfaced in the recruitment of Assistant Executive Engineers in 'Secha Sadan' under the Department of Water Resources in Bhubaneswar.
As per reports, several aspirants lodged a written complaint in this regard at the Capital Police Station on Monday, demanding a CBI probe into the matter.
It has been alleged that attempts were made to secure jobs by submitting fake certificates. Candidates further claimed that despite such irregularities being detected during verification, no action was taken.
Over hundred aspirants have reportedly filed the written complaint, seeking the arrest of those who allegedly submitted forged documents during the recruitment process.
"We have approached the Capital Police Station to file a complaint regarding alleged irregularities in the recruitment of Assistant Executive Engineers. We believe that serious discrepancies have taken place during the selection process, and we have obtained certain documents and information supporting these concerns," said Debashis Sutrada, a job aspirant.

"There are allegations that some applicants attempted to secure jobs by submitting forged certificates, and a few individuals have reportedly been identified in relation to this. However, we suspect that the matter has not been adequately addressed, and there are concerns that certain officials, including the Chief Secretary of the Water Resources Department, may have suppressed the issue," he added.
No comments were received from the concerned authorities.
