More than 30 passengers had a narrow escape on Friday when a passenger bus crashed into a roadside house at Basudevpali under Manamunda police limits in Odisha’s Boudh district. No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

According to officials, the bus was en route from Bhubaneswar to Bolangir when it met with the accident along National Highway-57. The reason behind the crash was not immediately known.

Damage to Property, No Injuries

The impact of the collision caused damage to a portion of the house. The wall and part of the sunshade of the structure were reportedly damaged after the bus rammed into it. Fortunately, none of the residents of the house sustained injuries.

All passengers on board the bus escaped unharmed, police said.

Restoration Efforts Underway

Following the accident, local authorities reached the spot and took steps to manage the situation. Efforts were underway to clear debris from the site and safely remove the bus from the damaged section of the house.

An inquiry has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident.
