A shocking incident came to light in Bhubaneswar, where a minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by three persons in front of her male friend near the Daya River. As per reports, the victim girl, who was accompanied by her friend, was first intercepted by the accused, who forcibly stole their mobile phones and cash before committing the horrifying assault.

Acting swiftly on the serious allegations, police apprehended two of the three accused individuals. Both suspects have been formally arrested and presented before the court. The police have also recorded the full statement of the victim as a crucial step in the judicial process.

In a similar harrowing case in the capital city a couple of days back, a minor girl was allegedly raped by the landlord of the house where her family was staying, according to a complaint filed at the Mahila Police station. The survivor sustained serious injuries and trauma and was admitted to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital.

The incident occurred when the girl’s family members were not at home. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused landlord allegedly committed the crime inside the residence. Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and arrested the accused within a short time.
