Bargarh: Six more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Bargarh on Saturday, taking the total number of cases in the district to eight.

Of the six cases, all males, four positives detected from Bheden and two from Bhatli block, informed Bargarh district Collector, Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan.

Five persons have travel history while one is a local case from Bhatli. The concerned areas have been declared as containment zones, he said in a tweet.

However, the State Health and Family Welfare Department is yet to confirm the cases.

On the other hand, 90 COVID-19 patients recovered in Odisha on Friday. The total recoveries in the State now stand at 977.

Official sources informed that out of the total 90 recoveries, 23 persons were from Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur (22), Bhadrak (21), Ganjam (15), Cuttack (3), Sambalpur(2), Khurda (2), Balasore (1) and Nayagarh (1).
