In another similar incident that has sent shockwaves across the country, the body of the 10-year-old girl was recovered on 23rd December from a dense forest under the Chandbali police station limits.

According to information, the minor had left home after informing her family that she was going to school. When she failed to return, her family members searched for her, following which her body was found in the forest.

Later, Police had arrested the prime accused in the alleged rape and murder of the minor girl. The latest incident has once again highlighted serious concerns over the safety of minors in the Chandbali area.
“She left the house in the evening after offering prayers. I thought she might have gone out with her friends. When she did not return home, I became worried and searched for her. After failing to trace her, I went to the Chandbali police station to lodge an FIR. After returning home, the police asked me to bring her documents, including her certificate and Aadhaar card, to the station. When I brought the documents, the man who had kept my daughter with him for two days told me to take her back. I later came to know that he is the father of two children. After informing the police, they repeatedly contacted the man. He then said the girl would not be leaving from there. Later, he pushed my daughter from the Chandbali bridge. Now, I want justice for my daughter,” the girl’s mother said.

No comments were received from the police in this regard.
