Amit Shah holds key meeting with Odisha BJP leaders at state office

A high-level meeting was held between Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, and senior leaders of the Odisha Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Friday, where key discussions were held on both organisational matters and government functioning. 

The meeting took place at the BJP state headquarters and lasted for more than an hour. According to BJP state president Manmohan Samal, the discussions primarily focused on strengthening the party organisation and reviewing governance-related issues.

Improving Party Structure

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Samal said that the interaction with Amit Shah was comprehensive and aimed at improving coordination between the party structure and the government.

“There was a discussion regarding organizational matters. We also discussed various other issues. All the issues that the Chief Minister mentioned have also been discussed and debated. Discussions about organizational matters are natural,” Samal told mediapersons.

No Discussion Regarding RS Elections

Samal also clarified that no discussion took place regarding the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections during the meeting. He stated that the focus remained on organisational strategies and governance matters.

Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha candidate Dilip Ray also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the BJP state office. After the meeting, Dilip Ray informed that he had discussed the strategy and preparations related to the Rajya Sabha elections with the senior BJP leader.

“They are discussing the election strategy. That discussion is happening. I am bringing someone,” said Dilip Ray.
