Accused held in minor girl kidnapping escapes from police custody in Salepur

In a shocking incident, an accused held in minor girl kidnapping managed to escape from the premises of Bhadreswar Police Station in Cuttack's Salepur on Monday. The man had been brought in by police officers for questioning in connection with the alleged abduction of a minor girl.

According to reports, the accused was detained in connection with a case filed over the kidnapping of a girl from Soro area in Balasore district. He was being interrogated at the police station when he suddenly fled the premises, catching officers off guard.

Police Investigation Underway

Police have since launched an intensive manhunt to trace the absconding accused. Multiple teams have been deployed across nearby areas, and checkpoints have been set up on possible escape routes. Meanwhile, the kidnapped minor girl remains untraceable, intensifying concerns over her safety.
