Bhubaneswar: As many as 76 more COVID-19 patients recovered from the disease on Sunday, taking the total number of recovery cases in Odisha to 1126, informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department.

Of the recoveries reported today, 17 are from Kendrapara, 16 from Ganjam, 11 each from Nayagarh and Kalahandi, 5 from Jajpur, 3 each from Balasore and Mayurbhanj, 2 each from Angul and Jagatsinghpur and 1 each from Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Puri, Sambalpur and Sundargarh.

After the fresh recovery of 76 Covid-19 cases in the State today, the number of active cases have come down to 813, while recoveries jumped to 1126 out of the total 1948 positives in the State so far.

Earlier today, Odisha reported 129 new COVID-19 cases - the highest single-day spike in the State.

Out of the total 129 new COVID-19 cases, highest of 18 cases were reported from Kendrapara, 16 cases from Gajapati, 12 from Nuapada, 11 from Bolangir, 10 cases each from Ganjam and Jajpur, 7 from Khurda, 6 from Bargarh, Mayurbhanj, Sundergarh and Balasore, 5 cases from Cuttack and 4 cases each from Puri and Deogarh districts.
