Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Thursday announced that his government has provided as many as 37,916 jobs during the 17 months of the BJP rule in Odisha. Addressing the 13th Employment Fair, CM Mohan Majhi also provided appointment letters to a few more newly recruited candidates.
At least 591 candidates were given appointments across three departments during the employment fair in Bhubaneswar. Highlighting the government’s commitment, he added that a target of 65,000 government jobs has been set for the first two years, reaffirming the administration’s focus on accelerating recruitment processes and strengthening the public service sector.
CM Majhi reminded that the BJP had promised to provide 1.5 lakh government jobs within five years, and the administration is actively working to fulfil that pledge.
Majhi further stated that the government has prioritised employment generation and has been consistently implementing measures to expand job opportunities for youth across the state.

The Chief Minister assured that the government will continue its efforts to create more employment avenues and ensure transparent, timely recruitment for deserving candidates.
Earlier, on Nov 25, 2025, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi had handed over appointment letters to 7,293 newly recruited candidates under a massive Employment and Training Programme at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
The appointments span across 12 crucial government sectors, including School and Mass Education, Forest, Agriculture, Fisheries, Commerce & Transport, Labour, and several others.
