Based on the complaint, Ulunda Police arrested Metakani BJP Mandal President Mukuru Bagh, along with his associates Manoj Besra and Sankarshan Dalai. The trio was produced in court and has since been remanded to judicial custody.

Meanwhile, two other accused are still on the run, and police have launched a manhunt to apprehend them.

The case has sparked local political ripples, especially as a sitting BJP Mandal leader has been directly implicated in an attack on a government official. Authorities are treating the matter seriously, and further action is expected.

No comments were received from local police or the accused in this regard.

Worth mentioning, earlier in another incident and just hours after Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahu was dragged from his office during a public hearing and brutally attacked, the Commissionerate Police had swung into action and arrested three persons in this connection.
