Bhubaneswar: Two more legislators from Odisha have tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday. The two BJD leaders are Jajpur’s Bari MLA Sunanda Das and Ganjam’s Berhampur MLA Bikram Panda shared the information through their respective unverified twitter handles.

Bari MLA Sunanda Das said that she has contracted coronavirus but is stable and in home isolation.

“Those who have come in contact with me in the last few days are requested to get themselves tested if required,” she appealed through the social media.

On the other hand, Berhampur MLA Bikram Panda informed that after getting mild symptoms, he got himself tested and was found positive with the infection.

Panda further appealed those who have come in contact with him in the last few days to isolate themselves.

“After developing mild symptoms, I went for testing and found that I am covid19 positive. Those who have come in contact with me recently, please isolate themselves. Let's defeat Covid by adopting all precautions & instructions issued by the govt,” tweeted Panda.

Yesterday, senior BJD leader and Bhubaneswar North MLA Susant Kumar Rout had tested positive for COVID-19.

Prior to that, Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo and Chandbali MLA Byomkesh Ray, on Monday informed that they had contracted the virus.

Apart from them, Bhubaneswar (Central) MLA Ananta Narayan Jena, Badamba MLA Debi Prasad Mishra, BJD MLA Sudhansu Sekhar Parida (Remuna), Soumya Ranjan Patnaik (Khandapada), Srikant Sahu (Polsara), Prasant Behera (Salipur), and Susant Singh (Bhatli) were also tested positive with the virus earlier.
