Two minor boys meet watery grave in Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: In an unfortunate incident, two minors died after drowning in a morrum quarry at Chirama village of Koshagumuda block in Nabarangpur.The deceased have been identified as Nishikant Bisoi (6), and Tusar Bisoi (11).

The incident occurred when Nishikant and Tusar along with one of their cousins had gone to morrum quarry site to wash a bicycle.

Sources said,a rescue operation was launched after the three minor boys slipped into the ditch. Though Nishikant and Tushar were rushed to the hospital after being rescued, they were declared brought dead by doctors.

"We suspect that all the three boys slipped into deep water while trying to save each other,” said Narendra Bisoi, a local resident.
