Nayagarh: A teacher, who allegedly misbehaved with a girl student of a school under Fatepur police limits in Nayagarh district, was tied to a pole and beaten black and blue by the locals on Wednesday evening. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The accused, identified as PT (Physical Training) teacher Biswanath Muduli, reportedly asked a Class VIII girl student to accompany him to an isolated classroom in the school and later misbehaved with her, alleged locals.
The girl somehow managed to flee the spot and narrated the ordeal to her parents following which her family members and the infuriated villagers tied Muduli to an electric pole, thrashed and subsequently kept him detained in a club house of the village.
Though police rushed to the village after getting information, the cops could not rescue Muduli, said sources.
Later, Muduli was released by the villagers. No police complaint has been lodged in connection with the incident.
