Students in large numbers objected the authorities’ decision and blocked road for hours by burning tyres. However, the situation was brought under control after the authorities assured the students to bring about a possible solution to the problem during the executive committee meeting to be held on January 10.
However, “any student can write an application through his or her concerned Head of Department if he or she is or isn’t interested to appear the exam again. Final decision will be taken after that,” said Principal of G. M. Autonomous College.
The decision to re-examine came after the devastating fire had charred the unevaluated answer sheets, other valuable records, electronic and electrical equipments and furniture in the examination control department of the college last year on December 24.
