Jatni: Labourers and pedestrians had a narrow escape when the side wall of an under-construction bridge in Jatni collapsed this morning.
As per reports, a mound of concrete and iron frame collapsed and fell into the road. However no person was injured in the incident.
Labourers wearing jackets of Panda Infratech Limited were seen working at the project site even though the State government had issued notices to the company after the Bomikhal flyover collapse.
Today's incident reminded denizens of the Bomikhal bridge collapse in Bhubaneswar in May that left one killed and another injured.
The incident had occurred just 50 meter away from the spot where a portion had collapsed in 2017.
Last year on September 10, a section of the under-construction flyover had collapsed leaving 1 person dead and 10 others injured.
