Bhubaneswar: An alleged sex racket which was thriving in a hotel in the sleepy town of Jaleswar in Balasore district has been busted by the police.

Following complaints of immoral activities going on at the hotel, the police made a swoop on Friday night and detained four persons, which included the manager of the hotel, a customer and two women. Their questioning is on, police said.

It is alleged that flesh trade under the guise of business was going on at the hotel for quite some time which is believed to be part of an organised sex syndicate. This had caused inconvenience to the locals and business establishments in the vicinity of the hotel.

Police are trying to identify other members of the syndicate, including the key conduits, sources said.
