Sex Racket Busted In Baripada, Over 30 Persons, Including Women Detained

Mayurbhanj: Close on the heels of a massive crackdown on sex trade in Balasore, Odisha police on Saturday busted another sex racket which was operating in Baripada town.

According to reports, raids were conducted at three different lodges located in the heart of Baripada town. Around 30 youths and girls were detained and several objectionable articles were seized during the raid.

It is alleged that prostitution rackets are in operation in several parts of the State and such illegal flesh trade is flourishing right under the nose of the officials. Earlier, OTV, in a report, had exposed a sex racket operating from a hotel in Balasore. In a video that exposed the sex trade, a hotel employee was seen striking a deal with customers in presence of a female sex worker.

Following the OTV report, cops swung into action and raids were conducted in several parts of Balasore. Later, some hotel owners and managers were arrested for allowing sex trade inside their establishments.
